Northside Community Enterprises Ltd (NCE) is a vibrant Training and Development Centre based in Farranferris College on the Northside of Cork City.  Founded in 1993 by Fr. John O’Donovan, NCE was set up to provide training and work experience for the unemployed of the area.  Over the years while the range of training programmes, facilities and opportunities for work experience have grown substantially, its values and commitment to the community it serves remains the same.  In essence, NCE holds community values alongside enterprising structures.

In 2003, NCE Insulation was established as part of the NCE Group and since then it has grown to become one of the largest installers of Energy Saving measures to households in Ireland.  As a Community Based Organisation, the company has successfully delivered the Warmer Homes Scheme, on behalf of SEAI, to houses throughout Cork City and County.
