The University of Ulster has a national and international reputation for excellence, innovation and regional engagement. It makes major contributions to the economic, social and cultural development of Northern Ireland and plays a key role in attracting inward investment. Its’ core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology transfer. Participating in the NEES project will be members of staff in the Ulster Business School (UBS).

UBS is one of the largest business schools in the UK and has been providing university accredited management education and training programmes in Northern Ireland for over thirty years.  The department has recently been involved in five INTERREG IVB Northern Periphery Programme (NPP) energy and sustainability projects. In all projects, the UBS has been involved in analysing business cases for sustainable technology. Within the NEES project, UBS staff will investigate the feasibility of identified best practices, including barriers to implementation throughout the NPP region.
